Red Ribbon Club

Dr. Diljeet Singh, Assistant Prof. (Zoology) and Ms. Kiran Bala Assistant Prof. (Commerce) are appointed as Nodal Officers of Red Ribbon Club to carry out AIDS related awareness activities in the college. The primary motive to establish a Red Ribbon Club in an academic institution is to sensitize students of the college about HIV and AIDS.

At the onset of the current academic session, the Red Ribbon Club was reconstituted where 50 volunteers were enrolled as its members.

• A REEL / SHORT VIDEO making competition was held in the college campus for

celebration of “International Youth Day” under the theme ‘Green Skills for Youth: Toward a Sustainable World’ on dated 12-08-2023.

• An Introductory Lecture about objectives of Red Ribbon Club and its activities was delivered on dated 29-09-2023.
• Kiran Bala and two peer educators attended One Day Training of RRC at Govt Engineering College Massal Nagrota Bagwan on dated 03 Nov 2023.
• A poster making Competition on the theme “AIDS” was held in the college campus for celebration of World AIDS Day.
• Slogans Writing competition and Rally on AIDS and Human chain activity were held on 2 Dec 2023.
• Nodal Officer Dr Diljeet Singh attended district level Orientation-cum-Workshop on the theme “TB Mukt Bharat” at BDO Hall Dharamshala organized by district RRC Co-ordinator at Zonal Hospital Dharamshala.
